How to add a recipe service that consumes stock

Some services consume materials: protecting a GMC uses 16 meters of PPF film and a liter of polish. Define the recipe once; every sale deducts its components, and each job’s cost comes from what it consumed.

Steps

Open products
From inventory open “Products”, then press “Add new product”.

Name and item type
Type the service name, choose the item type “Service (no inventory)”, then its category.

The recipe
Turn on “Recipe service”, then add components from your products with the quantity per job: 16 meters of film and a liter of polish.

Price
Enter the expected cost and a fixed service price. The real cost is calculated on every sale from the consumed components.

The service in the list
The service appears with a “Service” badge; every invoice with it deducts its components automatically.

Frequently asked questions

What if stock is not enough?

The invoice is refused, listing each short component and by how much, unless negative selling is enabled in settings.

Which roll is used?

The oldest first; if it runs short, the next roll completes it, and every meter is traced.
