How to add a stock product (by quantity)

A regular stock product is tracked by quantity alone: you know how many you have, with no number per piece. Example: Galaxy granite.

Steps

Open products
From inventory open “Products”, then press “Add new product”.

Name and category
Type the product name and choose its category, which suggests the margin and sets the accounts.

Barcode and tracking
Scan or generate the barcode. Keep tracking “No tracking (quantity only)” and the unit “By piece”.

Pricing
Enter the expected cost and the profit percentage. Leave the custom margin empty to rely on the category. Then save.

The product in the list
The product appears with its cost and selling price. Use “Opening balance” to enter the quantity you hold now.
